ONGOING PROJECTS TO FUND

At Luminocean, we work to protect and restore coral reefs through hands-on conservation, education, and community collaboration.

ENVIRONMENTAL & SOCIAL PROJECTS

Each project is designed to protect marine biodiversity, foster environmental stewardship, and create a positive, lasting impact on our oceans. These projects rely on the generosity of supporters like you. Your donation can help us restore coral reefs sustainably, reduce ocean waste, and train future conservationists.

You can also make a difference by participating in our programs or volunteering your time and skills. Together, we can create a healthier ocean and a brighter future for everyone.

Our coral spawning monitoring program together with Uni Banda Naira is an essential part of future coral restoration. Understanding natural reproduction patterns of corals helps conserve coral reefs and assist restoration whenever needed in future scenarios. As part of the CORDAP-funded project COSMARINDO, we are a leading organisation in Indonesia to teach spawning monitoring and larval propagated restoration to students and young researchers

This black sponge (Terpios hoshinota), known for its rapid growth and ability to overtake and destroy corals, poses a significant threat to coral reefs. We collaborate with BKKPN Kantor Banda to understand more about the factors that cause this sponge to appear and to mitigate its negative effects on reefs.

We are studying how marine animals are affected by boat noise. We especially are interested in commonly overlooked species like marine invertebrates and small fish. This project is in collaboration with Uni Banda Naira and Ruhr Uni Bochum, Germany.

Our Waste Management Program is dedicated to reducing ocean pollution and protecting marine ecosystems by promoting sustainable waste practices.

Our Student Scholarship program provides aspiring conservationists with hands-on experience in marine science and environmental protection.

Our Environmental Education program empowers communities with the knowledge and tools needed to protect and sustain their natural surroundings.
