We're excited to announce our first webinar in an upcoming series of coral spawning topics. Charlotte Moritz from Tama No Te Tairoto in French Polynesia will present their fascinating project on monitoring spawning synchronization of the day-time spawning coral Porites rus.

About the event
'Connected by the reef' is the perfect phrase for the Porites rus monitoring project. Last year, Charlotte made us aware of the spawning time of P. rus early in the morning. She suggested us when to go out and check, and here they were spawning. Fascinating: at the Banda Islands the corals spawned at the same day after full moon and the same time after sunset as in French Polynesia - with 8000 km in between!
